About Me

A little about me

Welcome to my home on the web. I've had a home on the web, somewhere, since 1994 or so. This is a particularly boring one. This one shows a link, but not the content, of my site from WWWAC.org. I'm a co-founder of that group and I was one of the original folks in the Silicon Alley movement - the web and new media community in New York. At one time I even owned Siliconalley.com as a domain. I've served on the board of the New York New Media Association (NYNMA) as the chair of programs. I'm currently a member of the board of the New York Software Industry Association.

I was involved with one of the early web audio streaming (radio on the net) startups, and worked for Microsoft on IE4 and Windows Media. I was at startup Sorceron when the terror attack on New York occured.

I was privileged to help the relief efforts after 9-11 when I became Director of Operations for the Twin Towers Fund, which helped the families of the uniformed rescue workers killed on that day at the World Trade Center.

In summer 2003 I joined New York University's School of Continuing and Professional Studies, where I'm in charge of non-credit adult continuing education in Management, Leadership, Coaching, Entrepreneurship, and several other disciplines.

I've completed the NYU Certificate in Personal and Life Coaching, and am working through coach training with Results Coaching Systems, which has a partnership with NYU's Corporate Learning Services. I've coached, mentored, and counseled people throughout my life, from college, thorough work for non-profits and my work with families affected by 9-11. This training has solidified for me a structured way to help others help themselves and it is an amazing and gratifying thing to see happen.
